HELP! I HAVE SEVERAL BOTTLES OF WINE THAT I HAVE HAD ON A WINE RACK ON MY KITCHEN COUNTER FOR A FEW WEEKS(BOTH RED AND WHITE). IT HAS JUST DAWNED ON ME THAT MY APARTMENT GETS UP TO 80 DEGREES OCCASIONALLY. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR MY WINE NOW? IS IT RUINED?
Not a whole lot. While it is not recommended that wines go above 70, 80 degrees will not do much. If they go over 110 or so for about 6 hours like they can here in AZ you are in trouble. don't leave wine in your car and if you are transporting wine a long distance but it in you back seat and not the trunk because the trunk gets much hotter.
